Meet the Founder
My name is Francesco Casale, and I’ve lived on two wheels for as long as I can remember. I raced competitively from a young age, spending eleven years in the sport all the way up to the Elite category. Cycling shaped everything: my discipline, my friendships, my sense of adventure.
After stepping away from racing, I found myself in the world of hospitality, eventually becoming Operations Director for a pub company. But like so many stories of change, something kept calling me back. I wanted a life that combined everything I loved: cycling, great food, good wine, and sharing the places that mean the most to me.
Cyclo Began with That Idea.
I started a small bicycle repair business, then began organising rides around London. Suddenly, what once felt like a dream bringing people to my hometown in Emilia-Romagna felt completely possible. Today, Cyclo Holidays hosts trips not only along the Riviera Romagnola but across other incredible destinations in Italy.
We work closely with local people who love their land as deeply as we do, sharing its flavours, traditions, and landscapes. A Cyclo Holiday is about more than ridin,g it’s about truly experiencing a place: its food, its culture, its identity. And there’s no better way to do that than on a bike.
A Simple Idea that Become a Community
At the same time, the Cyclo community in London began to grow. What started as a small group riding together has become a thriving club with three weekly rides, open to all levels. Our dream is simple:
to create a community where anyone, any bike, any kit, any background, feels welcome.
Cycling isn’t about labels or gear. We all ride for different reasons, and Cyclo has become a home for all of them.
Today, the club is proudly supported by amazing partners such as Maurten, KASK, and MB Wear, along with many others who help our weekly rides thrive. A huge part of what makes Cyclo special are our pace leaders, volunteers who give their time to guide rides, support new riders, and help keep the community growing with the same warmth and spirit it started with.
Cyclo is more than a club and more than a holiday.
It’s a community built on passion, connection, and the simple joy of riding, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
