- What’s included in a Cyclo Holiday?
Cyclo Holidays are guided cycling trips where we aim to include everything you need for a seamless experience:
• Local airport transfers
• Guided rides
• All meals and local culinary experiences
• Activities such as tastings, cultural visits or local eventsInclusions vary slightly between trips. Please check each trip’s individual description for full details.
- Do I need to be an experienced cyclist?
We offer different types of holidays to suit different riders:
Social / Leisure Retreats
Designed for riders looking for a gentler experience with shorter rides and additional off-bike activities. You should still be comfortable spending a few hours on the bike and having ridden similar distances before.Intermediate Trips
A good level of fitness is required. Expect multiple longer rides (often 80–120 km), social pacing, the chance to push on climbs, and regrouping at the top.
Riders should have completed rides over 100 km before joining. Pace is not the priority — enjoyment is.
Many trips also offer e-bike options for additional support.Fully Customisable Experiences
All Cyclo Holidays destinations can also be curated for small groups or individuals.
You can choose to:
• Ride self-guided
• Hire a private guide
• Book all non-cycling activities (tastings, cultural visits, spa, food experiences) through CycloDon’t hesitate to get in touch — we’re happy to help create your perfect cycling escape.
- Can I bring my own bike?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own bike, or you can hire a high-quality bike from our local partners. Please let us know your preference well in advance so we can arrange everything for you.
- How do I book a trip?
To book, simply fill out the booking form for your chosen holiday.
Once we receive it, we’ll send a booking confirmation along with a contract. Your spot is secured once the signed contract and deposit/payment are received. - What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms vary slightly by trip and are outlined in each booking contract.
In general:
• Deposits are non-refundable
• Bookings are typically non-cancellable once payments have been madePlease refer to the specific contract for your trip.
- Do I need travel insurance?
Yes — we strongly recommend having travel insurance with cycling and third-party liability coverage.
Cyclo Holidays is not responsible for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage during the trip. - What’s the typical group size?
Group sizes vary depending on the destination, but we typically keep groups to no more than 8 people to ensure a high-quality, personal experience.
- What fitness level is required?
Fitness requirements depend on the type of trip:
• Leisure/Social: Comfortable with shorter rides and spending a few hours on the bike
• Intermediate: Able to complete multiple longer rides and at least one ride of 100 km+Check each trip’s details for specific requirements.
- Can non-cyclists join?
Yes. Non-cyclists are welcome to join, enjoy the accommodation, and take part in non-cycling activities.
We can provide a separate quotation for non-cycling guests — just let us know when booking. - What is Cyclo Club membership?
